A Family Wedding on Nob Hill in San Francisco
It was a gorgeous day for a wedding in San Francisco! We had blue skies, sunshine, and only a slight breeze, which is so rare for our foggy city! What better place to take photos before the ceremony than the couple's neighborhood, Nob Hill. With its stunning architecture, cable cars passing by, and incredible bay views, it's hard to think of a better place to capture the heart of San Francisco.
We first made our way up Mason street and stopped along a row of houses designed by renowned architect, Willis Polk. Then we headed up the hill to California Street for some classic wedding portraits. We crossed the street to go through Huntington Park, which is especially beautiful in the Spring! Even though the couple didn't get married here, we couldn't miss the opportunity to take some photos in front of Grace Cathedral- the groom's mother is Episcopalian and it meant the world to her. Finally, we got not one, but two Bay views! One from Sacramento looking North and one from California and Powell Street looking East to the Bay Bridge.
Our walk ended right at the church for their ceremony at Notre Dame des Victoires. The wedding was attended by family, mostly from the bride's Vietnamese side. After the ceremony, we traveled to the South Bay for a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and lovely backyard reception.
